I decided to add this page after hearing from many friends asking about who I recommend for doing home related projects or where can I get this or that. Between projects at work and at home I have had the opportunity to hire and oversee numerous local contractors which I can recommend, some I can't. I will add contractors, suppliers, stores, etc. on a regular basis and give some brief comments and whether I recommend them or not. I hope this helps you make an easier choice.
A great local supplier of processed and decorative stone, sand, topsoil, blue stone slabs and stone blocks. They sell to the public and will load pick-up trucks. I would highly recommend this company. They have the best topsoil in the valley.

I know Scott personally and 100% recommend his company to take care of all you countertop needs. He has a showroom and fabrication area in Connecticut and also serves western Mass. The countertop in my kitchen was made by him and installed with my help.

A supplier for all you lighting needs including indoor, outdoor and landscape. They stock a large quantity of lighting from low end to high end and everything in between. I have purchased numerous items from them and they are super friendly and helpful. You can also order online.

F.W. Webb is a full service bath center. They have several locations with one in Hartford, CT. This is where I purchased the Basco shower doors for for my bathroom makeovers but they do have a full line of other bath products. Nice showroom, friendly people, definitely recommend visiting them.

We put in an inground pool a couple years back and used Sabrina Pools with great success. I interviewed several companies and decided on Sabrina due to their willingness to work with me on design and price. Ron, the owner is super nice and extremely knowledgeable.
